Pitta Bread


Serves 7 (approx)

Ingredients




Method

  1. Put the flour, yeast and salt into a large bowl.
  2. Mix together the egg, oil and water.
  3. Add to the flour mix
  4. Knead well.
  5. Cover with cling film.
  6. Leave to rise in a warm place for 30 minutes
  7. When risen, add the herbs and knead again.
  8. Break into small pieces and roll out flat.
  9. Dry fry in a frying pan on a high heat for 1 minute either side.



Serving Suggestions

Delicious served hot with falafel, hummus or fous or as a side dish with most main dishes.
